In Japan, people exchange business cards, or meishi, on a regular basis. You must receive their card with both hands and be sure to look at it. It is considered disrespectful to just shove it in your pocket. We had to get business cards with English on the front and Japanese on the back. The top line is my first and last name and the second line is 5th grade teacher. The rest is the address and stuff. Pretty official, right?

In third grade my teacher, she had a friend from Japan and she was a professional singer. She was really nice, anyways she gave us a japanese paper, origami, and spelled our names in japanese!
P.S. I'm loving the books series of unfortunate events!
Kasey.
